usb 3 ports not working

Hi,

My desktop pc motherboard (gigabyte ga-h55m-usb3) has usb 3.0 ports but they're not working. There is power on them (my phone is charging) but usb devices are not working such as keyboard, mouse etc. Anybody has an idea about that?

Did you make sure to install the USB 3.0 driver? If it is Windows 7, you need to install the driver or they wont work.

i remember i had installed the drivers for usb 3 (Renesas(NEC) USB 3.0 Driver), but is there another specific one you mean?

According to Gigabytes website that is the only USB 3.0 driver needed so I think you have what you need. Have you checked the Device Manager to make sure there are not any hardware conflicts?
