Hello,

I am having trouble with booting from usb.

My pc sees the usb drive and boots from it but then it fails to load the operating system.

I've tried "slax linux", "parted magic", "puppy linux" but all fail to load. I tried my usb stick with different computers and it worked flawlessly.

I've enabled "usb legacy" , disabled "secure boot" and "UEFI" but still cant load the operating systems.

Also i tried both usb 3.0 and usb 2.0 ports and still not working

Anyone knows why?

Solution
Agreed. Moving from UEFI to Legacy should do the trick.

Not to be confused with USB Legacy Support which is a different matter but it must be set correctly or it wouldn't boot at all.

thnx but i don't think the problem is in the software. Maybe it is deep in the bios. since it boots from the usb but then i guess somehow it forgets the usb and OS cant be loaded to RAM or any other place.... and i don't know why i'll write my bios specs here in a few...
