Hi All:

I have a V60S with a mobile connection kit. I'm able
to connect with both QNC and EN at 14.4K/144K with no problem,
on my laptop.

On my Clie ( Sony PalmOS PDA ), however, it's a different
story. Again, I can connect to QNC with no problem. However,
it appears that the only speed I can use with EN is 19.2K,
for the PDA->phone connection. As far as I can tell, the
phone's serial interface only runs at 19.2K - so when I
send init strings, etc, at anything higher, the phone
doesn't recognize it. Checking the communications log
on the PDA shows no responses at all for any baud rate
other than 19.2K.

I can, in fact, log into EN using the PDA-phone
connection at 19.2K, but obviously it's a huge waste,
since the throughput is severly throttled.

Any ideas? Is there some way to configure the
V60S to use a higher baud rate for anything other
than a Mobile Office connection?

Thanks,
- Rich

Not sure what that specific PDA uses, but there are two interfaces (Serial
Max 115K and USB Max 230K). Since there can be bursts up to 144, that is
usually more than serial can handle (greater than 115), and express tries to
use usb and 230k. It can also depend on the cable. There are serial to
serial, serial to usb, and usb to usb. If you happen to have a serial to
serial, then USB is generally out.

For what it's worth, my V60s/mobile office/to my Toshiba laptop, is 1x (EN
now NA) USB 230k. First thing I'd look at is your PDA speed and cable.
