V710 Mp3's

Hi I have a Moto V710 and im thinking of getting a 256 mb transflash to upload mp3s and listen on my V710. If i dont remove the transflash from the phone, will the mp3's play?

The 710 has a media player, and will work with .mp3 format (or at least, mine does, and it's stock... Good assumption here I'd say).

I picked up a gig transflash stick, though, because it was dead-cheap and came with a nifty SD-adaptor card.
