Solved! Video card output to Toshiba 57H81

I'm trying to connect my new GTS250 PC graphics card to my old Toshiba 57H81 using a DVI to component cable. This flashes noise when the PC powers up so I know the connection is there, but there is no signal after that. Is there a way to get the higher quality DVI to component signal? XFX publishes information about a dongle to use S-video to component.

Try capping the resolution at 1280 x 720 or in that neighborhood. Also, beware of burn-in under this application.

Some of these early sets had specific component jacks for 1080 and 480. You may want to verify.
