I have chronic mic noise, probably caused by my audio card, so I'm looking into software alternatives. I have found a program called Solicall that works well, and it is the only program I have found so far that actually removes noise in real time for use in VOIP systems (Skype in my case). However, it only has a 14-day trial, and costs $40+ for the full license.
Does anyone know of any freeware alternatives? I heard that the earlier beta versions of Solicall are free, so I might settle for that (if I find it). I already have Audacity for noise removal in recordings, but my VOIP static is annoying for the others.
