Are those features used to upmix stereo signals to 5.1? Do I need a receiver to use those features or can I just use my realtek 5.1 sound card?

Solution madmatt30 Jul 22, 2016 Exactly what they are mate. Pro logic generally for movies & neo is designed for music use. A receiver ?? - no , just a powered 5 speaker set.
