What does this message mean . . .

. . . and how do I repair it? After initializing Outlook, this message pops up: "The exception unknown software exception (0x0000417) occurred in the application at location 0x0ae333e1". No matter which word--OK or Cancel--one clicks on, the applications shuts down.
Any help will be appreciated.

Try re-installing outlook or do a repair install and see if that works.

Thank you. Tried that several times with no luck. However, today I've been able to "sneak into" Outlook when I clicked on a web email link that opened Word as my email composer. Ya never know with a MS program.
