What is the best way to recover files from Android phone SD card after

I just pressed a wrong button and formatted my Android phone SD card, and then all my files (music, videos and audio) are lost. I searched some advice online and somebody told me the only way to recover my files is to use Data Recovery software. But I have never used any recovery software before. So I want to ask for some suggestion, is there anybody used some recovery software and have successfully recovered your files?
