I'm an architecture student in the market looking for a good laptop that will last a few years. It's got to be sturdy and portable, but also lightweight. I'm not very good with understanding computer specs and such, so I need some guidance finding a laptop that can run programs like AutoCAD and ArchiCAD smoothly with no issues. It can't be too small, so around 13 inches is decent. I'm also not loaded with lots of mula so...something on the more affordable side would be great. (If it happens to look sleek and beautiful as well, that would be a great plus. I am an architect student after all. Ha ha :D)

Any suggestions?

Laptop Mag's guide to buy college students laptops says Dell Precision 5510 is the best laptop for architecture students. It comes with Intel's Xeon processor which can output enough horsepowers to run all those hefty softwares smoothly. But in my views it is very expensive, if you want then you can buy it directly from Dell. Here's the link - http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/precision-m5510-workstation/pd

If you want more affordable laptop like under $1000 then you can buy Dell Inspiron i7559-5012GRY with 6th gen quad core i7 processor, 8GB RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphics. Although it is a gaming laptop, it will be able to run all softwares like AutoCAD and ArchiCAD smoothly. Here's the link to it on Amazon -...
