Solved! What speakers should I buy

So I recently built a new gaming pc and went with the Asus vg248qe monitor, which has very bad (soft) speakers, so I want to buy new speakers. My budget is $120 or less. The only ones that have really appealed to me were the Bose Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speakers which can be found here

The only reason why I haven't bought this yet is because there is no bass control function, and I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to buy speakers without this option of managing the bass.

What do you recommend that I do? Stick with this one or get a different one? If you think i should get a different one, please tell me what I should get.

You can download EQ software that would allow you to adjust the bass

but there are limits on how much you can boost the bass before the speakers will be damaged.
