When I try to restart my computer (asus x35e) I keep getting 'insert boot media'. Any suggestions?

I only have one boot option (MATSHITADVD-RAM UJ8BO) if that makes a difference

I would guess your hard drive died. Get it replaced.

Yes, it sounds like your hard drive is not being detected as it is only giving you your DVD drive as a valid booting option.

I had this problem too, your hard drive is dying. Try hitting your computer in the general area of the hard drive, it may fix the problem temporarily.
