I wanna connect my HTPC to av receiver through HDMI. there is no port for HDMI PC input in my Yamaha 5.1 av receiver . Can i connect my HTPC to other hdmi port like- game, bd/bluray or else? My projector is also connected to my HTPC.

Yes, I'd use the blu ray port since it likely has the highest level pass through.

It shouldn't matter.. HDMI is HDMI (unless it's ARC, which is a story for another day).
Try it, and see if your TV has a 'PC setting' Most receivers will allow you to rename the input thru a menu option.
It should work.
List the specific models for your receiver and projector, and HTPC if it doesn't work.
