Which Blu Ray Player to buy?

Hi all, I'm not sure about this one, I want to buy a Blu Ray player so I can watch Blu Ray movies/music on my TV from Blu Ray Disc. The question is, which/what type/brand that I should get?

To be honest, I really have no idea about Blu Ray thing, file format etc.
Does anyone here have experience with Blu Ray player?

Unless you have a top of the line home theater system any cheap bluray player will do. Black Friday is coming up. Can probably score one for like $20

I'm just afraid that if I already bought one and it somehow not compatible with any Blu Ray disk...
