Which laptop is better?

Hi everyone, so Im having a huge debate on which laptop i want to get for my girlfriend. Price range is 400-500$ nothing more, and she wants to use it for school work like excel, surfing the web, youtube, facebook, watching videos, playing some games (Sims 3, League of Legends), Listening to music and such.

I found 2 laptops on newegg but can't decide what to get.

They are both refurbished laptops, safe to buy?

i would recommend this one : ASUS K55 Series K55ARF-HI5121E Notebook Intel Core i5 3210M(2.50GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi Intel HD Graphics 4000

Because it has a Intel i5 Processor which is better than AMD A8.. Also yes you can purchase refurbished laptops as Newegg give 3 months warranty on their Refurbished laptops but be sure to get it replaced in case anything is wrong before those 3 months.. Also if you have budget go for a new Laptop because First hand goods are always better than Second Hand

Thank you for the fast response, yeah im on a huge budget and cant seem to find a laptop with i5 thats cheaper than 500$. unless theres one you can recommend?

both i5 under 500, honestly out of these 2, i would prefer the DELL from fry's. Asus have nice, NICE laptops, but i just couldnt go for refurbished
