Which parts of a laptop do you have to disassemble to clean out the dust?

Hi!

I've had major heating issues in my K53 Asus which is about 4 years old. Even idle CPU and GPU are at 85 C and sometimes go to 100 C. When gaming my FPS gets throttled, but Afterburner confirms that none of my systems are peaking out, instead getting flat lined. I have a manual for disassembling the K53, but there are so many parts and directions to go from. Anyone know in general what to disassemble, start from the top or the bottom? Is there a minimal amount I can do so I can get to the critical elements of the system (i.e. fan, heat sink, whatever)? Thanks in advance! (btw I think you guys provide a great service here really nice thing to provide free advice on this stuff for amateurs like me)

EDIT: Sorry I had a follow up question about the specifics of removing something but figured it out. I may have issues later so for reference the manual is at this link (again thanks so much for your time!): http://www.mediafire.com/view/6worwcnccn3lc4l/K53_Series_Guide_Chapter_02-v1.0.pdf
