why does my external HD not register on my tv

after Reformatting my External WD HD from NTFS to exFAT and now it does not show up on my tv when i plug it in can anyone help with this please

Maybe your TV doesn't support exFAT?

Hey there, lulah04!

I think that the majority of TVs support only FAT32 and NTFS formatted storage devices.
In order for your WD external hard drive to be recognized, I believe you should re-format it again and see if that will get your TV to detect it.
