Why is this issue occuring? (Flashing light after drastic rebuild)

I recently combined the parts from 2 different laptops, a Toshiba Satellite L655, and a R845. I'm using the body and screen from the L655, and the motherboard and complete insides of the R845. Everything moved over fine, but the laptops (as well as the screens) were two different sizes. It now isn't wanting to start up correctly, but the lights are coming up. For the most part, only a yellow "charge" light is slowly flashing on and off, but occasionally, a green power button will flash on, as if it were about to start up.

As of now, it still won't start up. If there's any more needed information don't hesitate to ask, I'd not want as many hours as I spent to go to waste!

Both should work with the ram. I'm moving 2 4 GB chips into a PC which used to run with a 2 GB and a 4 GB, and is also a much newer, much nicer model than my old laptop. The brands are also compatible in both PCs.

My apologies; after leaving from where I attempted the rebuild, I no longer had access to the internet or this thread! I recently got a temporary solution which will suffice for surfing the web.

But I did double check, the new laptop mobo is compatible with 2x8 gb chips.
