Why my laptop wont recognize second screen

I have both a Dell Precision M6500 (Wndows 7) and a HP Envy (Windows XP). Both are 64 bit. At home, I have a Samsung SynMaster 2233 SW second monitor that I purchased long agow for a Dell laptop. I worked great. Both laptops will recongnize a dell monitor (when I take them to work). My question: is the monitor only going to work with a 32 bit laptop? Is there a driver I can down load to get the LP's to recognize the monitor?

So, neither laptop will recognize the Samsung monitor? Take a look at the link below and see if you can find the monitor's driver/software. Then install it on both laptops and see if they'll work.
