wierd problem, Asus G751JT randomly reboots to BIOS

hi,

I have a Asus G751JT, sometimes like once or twice a month it will reboot randomly in the middle of idling or anything and go to the BIOS.

I checked the system was not overheating (it was idling).

Any ideas what is causing this?

I'm on Windows 10. Thanks.

Windows 10 will automatically reboot for updates unless you change the settings. Thats possible. I'm not sure why its taking you BIOS.

hi, thanks for your reply. it was disabled. recently this happened once too: it randomly shuts off without warning, like somebody pull the power.

and sometimes it just reboots and goes to the BIOS.

I wonder if is losing power, maybe a contact or battery issue. I've seen direct to bios after power loss.

yea maybe it is the power brick. today the date was off by a day after it auto rebooted to the BIOS. maybe CMOS battery too? @@
