Will the i7 2860qm bottleneck the 970M 6GB in my MSI laptop

Hi,

Just bought a 970m for my MSI GT780DXR, just wanted to know if the i7-2860qm would bottleneck the graphics card in anyway. If its not good enough should I go for a i7 2960xm, or buy a new laptop as it is old?

Current specs:

i7-2860qm
AMD 7970M
16GB DDR3
1TB HDD+256GB SSD

Thanks for letting me know, I bought a 2920xm instead and modded the bios to allow cpu overclocking, reaches about 4.4ghz which is as fast as an i5-2500k (stock clocked). I also had to buy a 220 watt psu as my laptop cut off if the tdp was set higher than 55w.

If anyone needs to know, there isn't a big temperature difference between the i7-2860qm around 80-85c 100% usage on stock clocks but overclocked the cpu easily reaches 93-95c on 100%. The laptop throttles at 97c or higher so use some good thermal paste if your going to do this.
