For some unknown reason when watching videos on YouTube it often freezes the higher resolution the more frequent, the only way to unfreeze it is the reload the page, this happens even when the video is fully loaded.

i can give my system spec if required although its a fairly powerful build and i doubt that its relevant.

Solution
If you have VLC media player then you can stream YouTube videos directly by-passing the You Tube display AND cutting out all the ads and pre-video ads !!

Open VLC, click Media > select "Open Network Steam" then paste the YouTube URL into the box....

If you are trying to view UHD or 4k videos then you need a specialised player (KMPlayer for example). You will probably not be able to stream and view these type of videos directly at the moment.
