My phone is a ZTE with Android 7.1.1 No matter what I do, it would not utilize the 32GB SD card that is inserted. I tried formatting as an internal storage, it did change one thing saying 7.65MB used of 40. MB but it still will not let me download anything past the 8GB of internal storage. I try and it gets past 7GB it says it's out of space. Then all of the downloads just say "pending" it even gets to the point of not accepting any texts cause it's out of memory!!!!!!!!! What can I do to FIX this? I don't want to miss any more texts or phone calls!!! If they're are no upgrades or fixes for this just TELL ME NOW so that I can get an other phone and stop trying to fix this POS!!! Any help that I can get would really be appreciated.

Please don't yell (CAPS).

The only way to get the phone to accept the card as "Internal Storage" is by following the instructions I am including below. If the phone will not allow for it, or any of the steps are missing, then it won't work on your device. You can, however, move files (photos, videos, music, etc., not apps) over to the card and that can clear up space as well. Plus you should be sure to clean out your history, cache, and others, in things like text messages, sites you visit, etc. This stuff adds up and uses up space as well.

NOTE: Doing this will clear 'all' the data on your phone, so it is suggested you not choose this option unless you have to, or aren't worried about losing anything on the phone.

Be sure you...

Be sure you back up any data you want to keep, to a computer or cloud account, before doing the reset.

To "Hard Reset" the phone...

1. Make sure that the phone is actually powered off.

2. Remove your SD card, if there is one in the device.

3. Press the "Power" and the "Volume Up" buttons, together, until you see the start-up logo on the screen.

4. Once you can see the logo, release the buttons and allow the device to enter the "System Recovery Mode".

5. Next use "Volume Down" button to get to the "wipe data/factory reset" option When in recovery mode the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons are how to can navigate and highlight what option you need.

6. Once you have selected the "wipe data/factory reset", press the "Power" button to select that option.

7. On the following screen, repeatedly press the "Volume Down" button until the "Yes - delete all user data" option is what is selected.

8. Then press the "Power" button to hard reset the phone.

9. If you took your SD card out in step 2, when the device is up and running again, reinsert the SD card.

You've only told us how to do a hard reset. Not how to make it so the phone uses the sd card for all its storsge needs.
