zteK81 DialPad Missing

My new ZTE android tablet version 7.1.1 does not have the dial pad function. it texts but cant call from it because it has no dial pad. i have tried installing dial pad from google paly, but they wont work.
need to use it for calls. help

I don't believe that tablet is meant to also be a phone. Most aren't. Also, it wouldn't be a dial pad that is needed/missing but the phone app. Which if it doesn't have one, then again I would say it isn't meant to be used as a phone.

There are ways around that, with certain apps that can also make calls. Hangouts, textnow, etc., but using it as just a direct phone I don't believe so.
