I want a laptop and a tablet or a 2 in 1 laptop.

If I were to get a laptop and tablet then they would need to be under $400 combined. I found this 2 in 1: http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-T100TAM-C1-GM-Detachable-Touchscreen-Laptop/dp/B00NC06K3G/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1421621594&sr=1-1 (32gb with 500gb dock storage). If I were to get the 2 in 1 I would get these 3 things:

MircoSD card: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Memory-Adapter--SDSDQUAN-032G-G4A-Version/dp/B00M55C0NS/ref=lp_3015433011_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1421635982&sr=1-1

USB Hub: http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Portable-MacBook-Windows-HB-MCRM/dp/B00L2442H0/ref=sr_1_24?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1421638121&sr=1-24

Combo of 4 things: http://www.amazon.com/EEEKit-Starter-Transformer-Adapter-Wireless/dp/B00JWJOIJE/ref=pd_bxgy_pc_text_y

I have no clue what laptop/ tablet combo I would get.

So in the end, what would be the best choice?

Yeah the ones I'd suggest would be the previous gen Nexus 7, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, or the LG G Pad.
Why not just get a high end tablet with a keyboard extension like the Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2 or the Dell Venue 11 Pro? I would think those would be more cost effective alternatives than a low end 2 in 1 laptop would be. Or do you need the desktop functions?

Would I be able to watch movies from a micro SD card on the tablet? Because I will mostly be using this for travel in planes and for car rides so I won't have internet.
I also wanted to have a laptop so that it didn't need a case, but I guess it's ok. And if I were to just get a tablet, then I would want to spend around $300 including a keyboard and micro SD card.

There's ways you can do this on Android, I'm not entirely sure how to go about doing that. If you have a Windows tablet you can with no problem, but that entirely depends on the speed of the SD card that you are using.

I have to be able to watch movies and be able to type and watch YouTube videos/ Twitch streams. That's why I was leaning towards the laptop/ tablet combo or a 2 in 1. What if I got a stream 13 and a Toshiba Excite Go AT7-C8? Then I could have a laptop for watching movies and surfing the web and a tablet for watching YouTube videos and Twitch streams.

The Dell Venue is a much better Windows tablet than the Toshiba Excite is, and I have an HP Stream 7 - it is definitely not a good tablet. Doesn't hold a charge for long periods of time, and only supports a 32GB memory card.
