Acer Aspire E 17 won't turn on

I was using my laptop, left it for about 20 minutes without shutting it, came back and the screen was black which was to be expected but then it just wouldn't come back on. So I tried taking out the battery and pressing the reset button but it still won't turn on. It will charge, and the charging light comes on. I can also plug a usb into it and it will charge my phone. But it won't turn on at all, the fans, nothing. I don't know if I'm just stupid or what

did you also disconnect the power adapter from the laptop when you removed the main battery & how long did you hold the power button down with those 2 things removed?
