Acer Asrpire 5820TG overheats and shuts down

My little brother's laptop kept overheating and he tried to play operation with it......
He took it apart, cleaned the vent and the fan but he didn't apply thermal paste on it.
After a few weeks it started overheating and shuting down again.
I took it apart, cleaned it again, applied thermal paste but it shuts down in a few minutes,
i've tried thermal pads, high density thermal paste but nothing.
The fan doesn't even bother to spin faster when it heats,

what the h@@ is wrong with this????

Are you sure it's overheating, then? If you haven't used software to monitor the laptop's temperatures, try out HWiNFO64 or HWMonitor.

Any rhyme or reason to when this happens (e.g. specific programs or heavy use)?

I'm using SpeedFan just for monitoring, even on Youtube, the GPU's temp goes nuts

"update" HWiNFO64 doesn't work in this shitty laptop, works great on HPs but not nn Acers
