Acer Laptop Not Connecting to Internet

I have an Acer laptop running windows 7 and it isn't connecting to the internet through WiFi. The desktop that I have will connect to the great internet. I can ping out to IP's but it wont connect to any websites. I've rebooted the router and the computer but still nothing is working.

can you see any other local networks but not your own with the laptop? is it the same if your standing near the router?
