acer laptop not starting up!!!!

My acer laptop wont startup even with the battery plugged in but it works when the AC charger is plugged in and when it is the light hat indicates that the computer is receiving power lights up and the notifications page of the battery shows that it is plugged in and charging 95 percent.laptop model is aspire 5820TG

The battery has expired, no longer able to hold a charge, time for a new one.

Mis-treatment of the battery can severely shorten it's life. For example, if you leave your laptop plugged in to the mains for long periods with the battery attached. That's bad for the battery, you are supposed to remove it in such situations, or shut down & unplug laptop from mains when it's not in use.
