Alien fx not working

i have recently formatted my alienware M15x by using the windows vista business 64 bit cd i got when i bought my laptop and
i installed everything from the alienware resource cd which i also got with my laptop. everything works fine except my fx lights, none of my fx lights are working, not even the power button light. when i go to my fx editor there is nothing shown, just a blank screen. i triel installing the new version but the same thing has happened. can anyone help me?

try holding fn and pressing the key that says alien FX under prt screen
