Some dual-core and triple-core processors are actually quad-core processors with a core or two disabled to meet their production quota. Those can be enabled and work just fine. Evidently you have a core that was disabled because it had a real problem. Enabling it screws up the rest of the CPU. Undo the unlock and be happy with a triple-core processor.

Yea I did do some reading and found that the AMD codename Propus is an Athlon ii x4
and that the AMD Rana is the one I have that has a damaged core. The propus has all 4 good cores but when 1 core is damaged the makers disable it and call it the rana so o'well to that.
