ASUS F554LA-XX784H won't charge / turn on

About an hour ago my laptop indicated that the battery was low. I connected the charger to my laptop and a few seconds later it turned off (probably because battery ran out). When I put the charger in my laptop, no light turns on at the charging-battery-indicator-thingy. I tested the charger with a multi-meter and it doesn't seem like anything is wrong with it, so it must be the laptop.

I'm wondering if there's any way to fix this issue, before having to go back to the store. I still have a 2 year warranty on it, so it wouldn't really be a problem if I had to take it back to the store but it sure would be less of a hassle if I could just fix the problem myself.

If its not the charger then its not something you can fix yourself.

Remove the battery and the charger, hold the power button and then try to turn it on again. My Asus N750JK did the same. Nothing happened when I tried to switch it on and the charging light didn`t turn on when I plugged the charger. Removing the battery helped.
