ASUS G50V Will Not Start

I have an ASUS G50v that will not start at all. The I've tried to power it on with both the battery plugged in and out with the charger connected. Nothing. It's completely unresponsive. Does anyone have an idea what the problem may be?

Any lights come on at all?

Could be a number of things:

1. Faulty charger
2. Faulty internal psu
3. Even seen faulty power buttons in laptops before

Some very basic checks to rule out:

Try a different power socket in the wall
Replace the cable between the wall and the external power supply unit (if in two parts)
Replace the external power supply unit

If that doesn't do it I would be considering a RMA to ASUS

Ive tried switching wall sockets and the power supply/charger seems to be working properly. It must just be the internal PSU and no there are no lights at all coming on. Not even the fan is starting.

Nothing at all. Completely unresponsive. Not even the fan is coming on.

Id probably consider trying a new adapter and/or power brick or if it's still under warranty you could RMA it and be done
