I'm using my phone yo write thèse lines.
When i boot, after the Asus logo, i have a black Screen : i Don't see win 10 logo or anything.
I know the laptop is working because leds on, hear windows sound for login and when i look from some angles i can distinguish things on a white backgrounds.
After many jours i manager to put a white screen on the backgrounds and made m'y mouse black.
I tried some things but none solved the problème:
- i tried the win+p trick and when i do, the brightness Comes to normal for a split second before everything hors dark.
- i tried to use the win+ctr+shift+b combination, no résultats.
- i uninstalled the AMD radeon HD 5000 series driver but didn't work except for the facture that when i do this, the brightness comes yo normal only after i close and open the lid for a certain time before darkness hits afin.
- disabling fast boot didn't help.
- disabling high contrast didn't help.
- updating driver in device manager didn't help.
- disabling graphic card didn't help.
- even un sage mode i have the same issue, when i access bios it's the same : with closing and opening lid i manage to exit without creating more trouble.

Here are things i haven't tried :

- modifying the registry, i see enough with the white backgrounds in it. I didn't touch the registry cause i'm not having an issue with my "FN" Key.
- reinstalling windows, nothing will change if it's à hardware issue.
- using à previous restore point, fonction have anything
- dismantling the laptop completely : i tried to find the screen câble but couldn't : it was à light disamble.
- pluging a second screen to see the results : waiting for your advices and opinions yo check if there is a solution before buying a screen.

Long story to avoid unnecessary discussion.

Solution
Try this...

1. Turn the laptop off (not sleep or hibernate but off).
2. Connect an external monitor to the laptop.
3. Turn on the external monitor.
4. Turn on the laptop.

NOTE: You may have to press an "external monitor" button. Could be the f4 button or a button with two monitors on it, for the external monitor to work.

If you can see fine on the external monitor, then your attached display, or the ribbon cable that connects it, are your problem.

If you can't see on the external monitor at all, or the problem occurs on the external monitor as well, then it is probably the graphics card/GPU that is the problem, which may require the motherboard be replaced.
