My daughter's laptop keys aren't working. Log in is PW protected, so can't go to settings or device manager. Tried connecting my keyboard to it and the only key that works is the "M" and it is functioning like the "Enter" key. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Yes, I turned the laptop on after attaching my keyboard. She also informed me that when she uses the backspace on her laptop, it types something into the password box. I tried this with my keyboard attached and it did the same thing. I also noticed that the Caps Lock button has to be turned on for these 2 keys to work.

Very odd. I would expect problems with an attached keyboard, but not multiple external ones.

Try uninstalling the keyboard driver(s) and then reboot the laptop. (Yes, without reinstalling the driver(s)). When it restarts it should reinstall them on its own.

I have no info on how to help with a fix then, if no kind of keyboard will work.

If the device is still under warranty, I would consider contacting the manufacturer about a repair/replacement.
