Recently I've changed router to new with gigabit ports. I have 4 PC connected to it all with gigabit ethernet . Problem is with Asus K72JR laptop which has Qualcomm / Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (recognised by hardware ID and internet). Problem is that under "Speed & duplex" settings under networks adapter options theres no "gigabit half/full duplex" options, only 10 and 100mbit. I've reinstalled newest driver and still no options for gigabit ethernet. On other three PC i can choose gigabit without any problems but not on asus...
I've also done some test with copying files from asus to other PCs and transfer rate is max around 12.000 kbytes
on other forums I've read suggestions that it could be the problem with UTP cables CAT but mine is 5e so it should go up to gigabit...
any ideas why I can't choose gigabit ethernet?
