Hi there, I recently purchased an ASUS N551VW-FW238T laptop from Amazon UK. The laptop was listed on Amazon as having an IPS display, as well as on the ASUS website and in every review of the laptop that I could find.

When I received the laptop, I found that it had what appeared to be a TN panel instead. The viewing angles were extremely poor (when viewed from above, the colours inverted, when viewed from below the screen appeared to be extremely dark) and it generally had a strong yellowish off-white tone.

I would like to know what my options are for getting the display replaced with the correct type of panel. I could send the laptop back to Amazon for a full refund, but I would rather be able to just have the correct product as I do like everything else about the laptop.

Thanks in advance :)

Solution
Contact Amazon or ASUS, doing anything else will invalidate the warranty and would be a waste of your money to replace yourself if the screen is indeed the wrong type.
