Solved! asus laptop not starting completely

after installing new ssd in and moving the hdd to the optical drive caddy. my laptop is not completing the boot into windows cycle, it just shuts down abruptly...


any help will be appreciated..

And this is only happening after you switched hard drives? If you switch back to your old configuration does this problem still occur? It is possible that your battery could have gone bad as well.
So you moved the original HDD with the OS installed on it to the caddy correct?
If so, you may need to go into the bios and change the default boot device.
 
This can mean a lot of things, incomplete migration, faulty ssd, wired bios settings. Start with disabling OLD HDD from bios and booting ssd. If failed go for recovery mode
 



i will try the disabling of the old hdd and see the results... will get back to yu

 




sorry maybe i dd not explain right... if the laptop is plugged on power adapter, it is fine, it works fine. my problem is wen i try to start it without the power adapter, that is with only the battery. it start and load the windows bt then around that time when the windows loding screen is there it jst turns off.
