Asus N55SF - can't write on dvd

Hi,
I have an Asus N55SF-s1067v it has a bluray reader / dvd writer: HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CT30P
it read dvd and cds but it can't write on dvd anymore. I have the original windows 7 and windows 8.1 on it and the issue is the same on both of them.

any help ? thank you

Could be Upper or Lower filters are corrupt. If so, it's a simple fix. This requires accessing the registry, which can really mess things up. Follow directions to the letter!
