Asus NoteBooks HD Video Output port

hi

i have Asus A52JC

and i connect it to my HDTV using the Notebook's HDI outpot port.

but it only shows video and doesnt the audio.

is it supposed to do this or i can fix it??

i mean was this port build only for Video Output?? , since HDMI cable can carry both audio & video...

You need to switch the audio standard device to HDMI under control panel / sounds. Windows can only handle one audio device at a time.

Yes, you will need to switch it back if you want to use the notebook audio.

i have both intel graphics & nvidia graphics configuration tools...

but if anyone knows a way , that can save the need of changing everytime between windows audio & the Tv audio it would be great

btw i fixed it by going to the sound category in control panel >clicked show disable audio devices , and it showed my Tv , so i enabled it
