Asus X453M Not turning on.

Hello,
I have a Asus X453M which recently has stopped responding.
I have tried holding down power button etc and nothing has worked.
I have also tested the charger and its port using a multimeter (Both work fine).

I am running out of ideas so wanted to see if anybody else had any suggestions or solutions.
The laptop was working fine but then just suddenly shut off and now will not respond at all.
No lights turn on either when i plug charger in.

My guess is it could be either the motherboard or the battery but how can i test for either?
I dont want to spend money replacing anything unless im certain that is the fault.

It's probably the motherboard. You can try removing the battery, remove the CMOS battery if there is one, hold in the power button for about 30 seconds. Plug in wall power only, see if it turns on. If it does, plug in the batteries and see if that works now.
