My ASUS X553MA, when it boots, the yuhjnm keys do not work, eventually they may start to work. from research i've found that a hard reset may solve the problem, however the battery is non removable.
i have modified the laptop and the serial number sticker is missing so i have no hope of it being a warranty job

PLEASE HELP

Check the ribbon cable connector for the keyboard.
This is a common problem when you open them up for mods/repairs.
Slide the lock clip up very carefully and pull the ribbon cable out. If the end is damaged, you can cut 1/8inch(couple mm) off of the end with sharp scissors and re-insert it into the connector and carefully push the lock back in.
