Solved! asus zenbook display won't turn on

My asus zenbook will only turn on when plugged into an external device using HDMI. The light on the power button is on and all the lights can be turned on but the screen doesn't turn on. I have fully charged it but nothing works. What shall I do?

You may also want to try hitting CTRL + SHIFT + WIN + B to try and reset your graphics driver as another possible fix.

NOTE: If you can see fine on the external monitor, then your attached display, or the ribbon cable that connects it, are your problem.

I'm guessing your built-in screen is bad. Have a technician take a look at it - like webworkings said, it could be the LCD or the internal video cable.
