Best Earbuds for Walking to School?

My Apple earbuds lost all sound in the left bud yesterday and so need a new pair of earbuds before school starts. It takes me 15 minutes and to walk to school another 15 to walk back and I prefer if I have music to entertain me on the way. I'm not looking to spend more than £10 and nether do I expect brilliant bass and comfort but enough to enjoy the song without having to re-adjust all the time.

I don't have any specific model to recommend but I would steer away from Sony's entry-level earbuds (MDR-10/12/15) since they have a marked tendency to lose sound, presumably due to poor quality permanent magnets - the coil resistance for both ears reads fine on my multimeter but they are less than 1/10th as loud as any of my other headphones or earbuds. They never fit right in my ears either, but what fits comfortably and what doesn't can vary drastically from person to person.

You can't really go too bad with canal earpuds (in-ears), especially if you like a lot of bass (most cheap in ears will be like this). If you want some decent sounding ones that are a bit less bass heavy (but still have some kick), try looking at the Brainwavz Alpha IEM's. They're USD$18.50 but sound pretty good for the price.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I have looked at Amazon UK and I have found 2 which seem to be the best but not sure which one would be ideal:

I would just like to ask are ear-canal earbuds comfortable? I have tried 2 very cheap pairs before and I couldn't seem to find a comfortable position.

If you find the right pair and the right pads for your ears, they can be very comfortable. If you don't, they they can make your life miserable. There are as many different ears are there are people out there, so there is no one-size-fits-all answer to which pair will be most comfortable to you. You'll have to try them and find out for yourself.

I wanted to order the Panasonic ones but couldn't find anything else I needed that shipped from the same warehouse to avoid having to pay $10 of shipping on $10 headphones, so I ended up not buying them. For $10, it isn't a big loss if they turn out not as comfortable as desired. Having a backup or disposable pair does not hurt either.

I haven't used them all that much. Sound is ok, not great. My main annoyance with previous ear buds was that they wouldn't stay put. These have no problem staying in my ears and are the most comfortable I have owned so far.
