So I was thinking of buying new headphones- in descending order of price these are the ones I have come up with (I only have $200), which is the best to get?
I am sort of an audiophile (love listening to high quality music) and it will be used for gaming A LOT (although not usually FPS), but open headsets are a definitely a no, the entire reason I'm getting a headset is because I can't play music loud or sometimes at all in my room.
Details: I don't know if I have a sound card- but I do have a a GIGABYTE B75M-D3H Mobo
I will be mostly using this on my desktop, however I WILL use this on my laptop quite often as I vacation a lot.

V-Moda Crossfade LP2 Limted edition-$199.99 ($160.48 "Used Like New" which is what I'm considering)
Razer Tiamat 7.1 Elite-$160.00
Turtle Beach Z6A-$154.99
Skullcandy PLYR 2-$127.95
CM storm Sirus-$111.99
Corsair Vengeance 2000-$108.98
V-Moda Crossfade LP-$105.95
Corsair Vengeance 1500-$84.99
Skullcandy SLYR-$80.99
Steelseries Siberia V2-$79.89-$110

Solution
Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro.
Ultrasone HFI-580.

Get the first one if it is available to you. It has a very solid bass and will fit your requirements. The Ultrasone one is not as strong, but it is still a solid pair of headphones for your needs.

In either case, i recommend that you may want a good sound card to make better use of them.

I'm confused. Given your list, are you looking for a headset or headphones? You should have on-board audio. But if you don't have a sound card, then I would advice that you buy a cheap set only because you won't hear any difference with high-end headphones using just the on-board audio.

Depends on the EQ, there is a difference in headphone quality just not as loud compared to an audio card but still worth while getting good headphones.

Audio Technica ATH-M50

My first choice was going to be Audio Technica since reading good things about them but couldn't find them at JBHIFI. I spend a good hr comparing all the headphones they had on display with listenable music from clarity songs to bass and ended up getting the Sennheiser 280pro's that put $500 dollar professional headphones to shame.

Get a good sound card from Asus for the extra amplification vs onboard sound but if you have an av receiver you can use, connect to it and enjoy :)

Any requirements on the headphones? Do you want a powerful bass? Good highs? Mids? Lows? Vocals? Obviously finding one that excels in all categories is slim to none, even in very high-end expensive headphones. So it is preferable to buy one that fits your needs.

I want powerful base and good highs. Vocals would be nice, but they aren't super important.
