Black and white display

I have a panasonic tx40cx400b tv,hdmi ports and every other features seems ok.but i tried connecting the dvd player to component y/pb/pr ..its a 3 display port..only one of it displays black and white,the others dont.the audio output plays out...I've tried different player all displays b/w...can't find pal/ntsc settings on the tv.any help please

Your TV likely has a shared component - composite video input. There will be a menu in the TV to select one or the other for that input. If you used a single yellow RCA cable for video then set it for composite.
