Booting loop problems

The laptop passes post then reboots as soon as it starts to boot from the hdd. Ive tried three different hdds with no luck. The computer will boot linux from USB or disk with no problems. Ive run memtest with no errors. So it wont boot from any internal hdd. I'm stumped. Is this a mobo problem? Any input would help. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the Hard drive controller on the mobo is failing
