Break away power connector for Dell XPS?

I purchased a Dell XPS 13 for my wife. It came with the traditional power plug that inserts into the side of the laptop. My Macbook Pro has a very nice feature -- a power cord that connects to the Mac by a magnet and breaks away if someone trips over the power cord, for example. I contacted Dell and asked if anything like this would work with the XPS, and they said no such accessory is available.
My concern is that my wife is a bit clumsy, and I can see her doing something that will seriously damage the power slot when connected. Thus, does anyone know if an aftermarket solution is available that will work with the XPS? I've seen some aftermarket products, but none list the XPS as a compatible laptop.

Why Dell doesn't just make the break away connector standard, I have no idea. My Macbook has had this feature since 2013.

Thanks!

Thanks, I figured the Mac design is patented, but I am wondering if there is another option that isn't magnetic but also allows the connection to break away.

Thanks.
