I have an old school Sony 5.1 Surround system that has no digital inputs or individual component inputs for each channel. However it does have a stereo RCA phono input and a Pro Logic II decoder.
My TV outputs Dolby Digital Plus or DTS on optical.
So what I really need is a converter that can decode my Dolby Digital/DTS from optical cable and then re-encode it in Dolby Pro Logic II and output it on a stereo RCA pair.
Bit of a long shot but does anyone know of a converter like this?
There are plenty of simple optical to RCA converters but not any that seem to be able to preserve the 5.1 all the way through using Pro Logic.
Edit: This is my TV: http/www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE40F6320AKXXU
