Can I plug 5.1 Speaker directly into my PC without a receiver?

Hi, I just recently got a second hand 5.1 Stereo system and I would like to hook it up to my PC.
This is my Stereo system:

This is my Motherboard

I am currently only running 2.1 through the receiver because that is all I can plug into the receiver itself.

Is there anyway I can get 5.1 to work with the receiver?
Also, could I just buy 6 of these http/amzn.to/257TQlt and plug the speakers directly into my PC and still have good sound quality?

That Sony unit has an optical input. If you use HDMI, you can get a breakout box which will provide an optical output -- http/www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Extractor-Optical-Converter-VHD-H2HSAs/dp/B00KBHX072

Short answer: No. Your computer' audio outputs are not designed to drive speakers but headphones or line input devices.
